Principal Resident Engineer – Cable
.
With demand in our Power Networks sector continually growing we are looking to appoint PrincipalResident Engineer Cable for our Abu Dhabi office UAE
To be successful in this role you will be a degree qualified engineer with a minimum 15 years' experience in supply and installation of 132kV underground cables between substations
You will have worked as a Owners Engineer within a Project Manager capacity for the cable engineering of 400kV and or 132KV GIS substations. Within this role you will responsible for managing a team of engineers and supervise the cable design review and installations in accordance with specification ensuring quality and execution to time and budget to the client's satisfaction.
Job Requirements
You may also be required to review and approve contractor's designs supervise the construction testing and commissioning of various networks projects whilst being familiar with all safety aspects of a site environment.
Previous work experience in the Middle East region would be an advantage. Potential candidate must have worked for few years on high voltage underground cables 66kV and above in terms of design amp installation work.
As a manager you will have good communication skills and be able to provide leadership to your team.
Your success within this role will be measured on your performance through several factors firstly successful completion of the project secondly ensuring that all outcomes have been achieve which were agreed by the client and the project teams and thirdly building successful and sustainable relationships between PB and the client organization.
We are seeking a solutionoriented and innovative person who is passionate ambitious and has a realistic approach to large scale power projects. A lateral thinker who is able to add value to projects and clients will do well in this role.
