Head of Geoscience JDi Energy

Our client is a leading oil producer offshore Qatar and the sole operator of one of the largest oil fields there currently producing approximately 300000 barrels per day.

Companywide they are an international oil and gas company across the UK amp Europe North Africa South America and the Middle East. They have fantastic exploration activities ongoing in North Africa GOM Greenland Iraqi Kurdistan and in their already producing countries. They turn marginal and challenging fields into commercial successes by focusing on pioneering technologies and harnessing talent to continue to operate safely and successfully.

Our client is currently looking for a Head of Geoscience to lead their Geoscience team ensuring functional overlay with coordination with local discipline leads. The role is accountable for the geoscience discipline competency and development assurance of geoscience technical work and development of reservoir engineering best practice workflows. The individual will manage and drive improvements of the GampG team and contribute to the development of and ensure the compliance with Geoscience discipline area processes and standards.

They are seeking a driven candidate who holds a Bachelor39s degree and Master39s degree in a geoscience or subsurface discipline with at least 12 years39 industry experience the latter part of which as a Lead level geoscientist with experience in strategic management and planning in an Operator environment.
