The Senior Engineer role is responsible for the completion of high quality designs and the supervision of discipline project delivery across WSP Middle East ME



Responsibilities

bull Support the successful delivery of high quality projects on time and to budgets

bull Carry out high quality discipline designs to the relevant standards and authority requirements from concept to tender

bull Conduct required checks and reviews of own teams designs

bull Understand the contract and scope of project deliverables

bull Supervise coordinate and support Engineers and CAD Technicians

bull Research and review design options for both technical and economic impact

bull Ensure that Health amp Safety is embedded into all work practices in line with company policies

bull Assist with discipline project submittals and No Objection Certificates NOC process

bull Evaluate contractor submittals and write required reports

bull Ensure statutory and regulatory requirements are met within the design

bull Stay updated with relevant technical developments within the discipline

bull Support line manager in planning resource needs and escalate as required if there are resource concerns

bull Provide feedback to line manager on the team's performance and development requirements

bull In conjunction with line manager identify assess and manage technical project risk

bull Provide regular project status updates including risks or concerns to line manager

bull Contribute to the delivery of the business unit strategy

bull Support the companies approach to sustainability

bull Attend and contribute in team and project meetings

bull Lead by example and ensure QMS and Project Lifecycle compliance across team and projects

bull Input into the work of the Technical Working Group TWG

bull Complete accurate timesheets by set deadline

bull Feedback on all business development opportunities



Requirements

bull BEng BSc Hon or equivalent discipline with minimum 5 years post graduate experience

bull Member or working towards associated Professional body membership

bull Experience and proven ability to supervise projects and project team

bull Experienced user of Microsoft Office
