Scientific American is at the heart of Nature Publishing Group's consumer media division meeting the needs of the general public. Scientific American the oldest continuously published magazine in the United States has been bringing its readers unique insights about developments in science and technology since 1845.
Scientific American is currently accepting applications for a summer video production internship. The intern will work with the staff video editor to produce a weekly sciencethemed video series andplete other production tasks as assigned. The intern will assist with filming editing writing scripts creating motion graphics and a variety of other tasks.
Applicants should have a background in filmmaking andor journalism. Successful candidates will have familiarity with prosumer video cameras video editing programs such as Final Cut Pro and motion graphics programs like Adobe After Effects. An academic background in science technology or health is also preferred. The threemonth internship will start on agreement and be based in New York. The work schedule is flexible but candidates should be available at least three regular business days per week.
