As Managing Agent CH2M HILL will assist ENEC in assuring the successful implementation of any Civil Nuclear Power Program introduced in the UAE through all phases including program development beyond the conceptual phase. These responsibilities include implementation of owner's responsibilities to comply with International Atomic Energy Agency recommendations master program planning and licensing and permitting associated with nuclear and support facilities. The challenge? To work as a member of the Nuclear Engineering team supporting the ENEC Program in the UAE. The Senior Equipment QS Engineer will provide Quality Surveillance of the Prime Contractor PC and his SubContractors in the installation of permanent plant materials and equipment for the Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation's ENEC Nuclear Program to ensure compliance with Safety and Qaulity objective and regulations as applied in the UAE. You should have15 to 20 years of experience with Quality Surveillance on Nuclear projects and a desire to grow personally and professionally with each new Senior Mechanical Engineer project.



Our Senior Equipment QS Engineers

• Supporting the theme of PlanDoCheckAct process and reflecting this in department procedures processes and execution of the BNPP works.


• Perform quality surveillance oversight of the Contractor in all aspects of procurement and manufacturing of nuclear materials.


• Ensure the PC's quality groupteam is performing the work in the safest manner with achieving the highest quality


• Oversee the Contractor Supplier quality processes and ensures that best practices and efficiency are utilized in maintaining the quality of the work.


• Advise the Contractor regarding quality performance issues and discuss proposed corrective actions to achieve required results.


• Oversee the Contractor quality management processes for training employing staff and staff retention to ensure assigned personnel are qualified for the work they are performing.


• Ensure that manufacturing activities are being performed by the Contractor and his subsuppliers in accordance with the engineering design requirements and project contract agreements.


• Review and provide recommendations for the Contractor Quality processes and procedures and support the review of manufacturing procedures.


• Communicate with the Contractor to ensure information is shared and all participants are fully informed of the methods and practices used in the project execution.


• Attend Contractor site safety and quality meeting and participate in all subject initiatives.


• Interface with the other internal departments within the CPO Division including Contracts Construction Engineering Planning Material Management and Commissioning and other e.g. Quality Assurance and Health Safety and Security HSE to ensure that the issues are being addressed with the Contractor in the execution of the project.


• Provide the review and acceptance of the Contractor subcontractor ITP in order to ensure the appropriate identification of relevant work to be inspectedtested by whom and at what stage or frequency.


• Identify ENEC Witness Hold Points to help ensure that work is being carried out to the required standards and requirements while keeping all records


• Undertake the necessary initiatives to ensure that the Prime Contractor is following approved Inspection and Test Plans in particular respecting verification hold and witness points


• Provides assistanceinterface with FANR representatives as necessary in order to facilitate their inspections verifications HoldsWitness points from ITP's


• Facilitate communication both internally and externally in order to build and nurture mutually beneficial working relationships


• Follow all relevant departmental HSE policies processes standard operating procedures and instructions to ensure HSE compliance in all aspects of work in accordance with sound management practices by applying these HSE policies and procedures to self and others to take reasonable care for the health and safety of people or the environment who are at the employee's place of work who may be affected by the employee's acts or omissions at work.

  • High School Diploma with relevant work experience.
  
  
  • 15 to 20 years of experience in Quality Surveillance or engineering experience for Nuclear projects and or large capital industrial projects.
  
  
  • Relevant trade certifications. .
  
  
  • English Fluency
  
  
  • Teamwork Intellectual curiosity analytical thinking active listening time management.
  
  
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of the ASME Code as it relates to materials equipment and the quality function.
  
  
  • Good reporting skills.
