Job Brief

Our client is looking for an IT Portfolio Manager to support their portfolio of technology transformation programmes and projects. The IT Portfolio Manager will work in a dynamic fastmoving environment and work with senior stakeholders at Corporate Business Unit BU level to scope and define projects. They will also interface with internal external Project Managers to ensure they are planned managed and coordinated effectively. The Portfolio Manager will monitor and assure the projects to ensure delivery on time cost and quality expectations and this information will be shared directly with VicePresident and CXO level stakeholders.

The successful candidate will have long and progressive industry experience in programme and project management leadership andor business consulting. This will enable them to take ownership of specific strategic projects when required andor to lead initiatives that will directly improve the quality and consistency of programme and project management capability within the Group. They will have a firm understanding of the benefits of Portfolio Management and in return will have the opportunity to make a real difference to PPM capability within the Group including participation in the development and rollout of the IT programme and project management policies and procedures and relevant tools and templates. The successful candidate will therefore have proven experience in defining and embedding business case benefits realisation management business change management and stakeholder engagement strategies and planning.

Person Specification

The successful candidate will have a Bachelors or Masteracirc128153s Degree in Business or IT with a tertiary qualification in project management or business consulting with accredited portfolio programme andor project management qualifications such as MoP PRINCE2 MSP or PMP.

As an applicant you will have long and progressive industry experience in programme and project management leadership andor business consulting. You will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and facilitate group meetings with senior stakeholders CXO and VP level and to direct and manage external vendors.
