IT DIRECTOR CLINICAL APPLICATION SERVICES

The ideal candidate would be working for one of the top Hospitals in USA or Europe





Job Summary

Responsible for the overall design implementation training documentation operation and support of the Companyrsquos applications Clinical ERP Support and Research Systems databases interfaces and reports. This includes planning design implementation and project management daily operational management including tracking and reporting Service Level compliance a focus on customer service staff skills development recruitment and retention and fiscal responsibility.



Key Accountabilities

bull Drafts and maintains procedures and documentation for application and database support.

bull Manages application enhancements to improve business performance.

bull Ensures that all requests for support are dealt with according to set standards and procedures.

bull Checks that all requests for support are dealt with according to agreed procedures.

bull Uses application management software and tools to investigate issues collect performance statistics and create reports.

bull Maintains indepth disciplinary knowledge leverages business acumen and subject matter expertise.

bull Ensures that effective staffing and committee structures are in place to support the work of the board

bull Ensures that proper relationships exist between the organisation and the external auditors.

bull Attends board and management meetings

bull Communicates the IT strategy and other relevant strategies to staff

bull Maintains excellent communication with internal and external stakeholders

bull Manages application deployments



Selection Criteria

bull Education

bull Essential Masters Level Qualification or equivalent experience. Bachelorrsquos degree or equivalent plus additional trainingqualifications andor experience will also be considered

bull Preferred Masters Level Qualification in business or related field

bull Experience Minimum of 10 15 years experience

bull In an IT environment

bull managing Application Support teams

bull ProjectProgram management experience

bull IT project life cycle phase management

bull ProcurementContract Management amp Administration experience

bull 7 ndash 10 yrs Experience with

bull Process Capability Maturity Modelling methodologies

bull best practice quality and process improvement methodology

bull managing vendors and outsourcing engagements

bull Fluency in written and spoken English

bull Certification and Licensure

bull Familiarity with ITIL V3 Foundation level preferably 39Service Transition39 amp 39Service Operation39

bull Certification in ITIL V3 Foundation level preferably 39Service Transition39 amp 39Service Operation39
