The Engineering Manager position is responsible for the management of the Aircraft Engineering Department by planning directing and monitoring the activities of the engineering staff to ensure safe and efficient processes in aircraft repair maintenance servicing to meet operational demands.nbsp The Manager will be responsible to select develop and evaluate personnel to ensure the accomplishment of the Companyrsquos goals objectives and to grow internal certification capabilities.nbsp Also the Engineering Manager will have responsibility for scheduling and planning and will have the opportunity to improve those functions.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Accountable and responsible for communicating business goals programs processes within the Engineering department interfacing with Quality Flight Operations and Management to support ontime performance standards take necessary corrective actions resulting from quality audits and provide assistance with regards to hybrid trouble shooting and recurrent technical problems.nbsp This role will be responsible for building relationships with the General Civil Aviation Authority representatives aircraft manufacturers as well as various levels of Company management.

Other duties will include managing

prioritizing of work requirements based on maintaining aircraft in serviceable condition to ensure safe ontime performance of the Company fleet

the highest possible technical DRR while assessing multiple factors surrounding aircraft serviceability

maintenance of all logbooks manuals and records in accordance with requirements of regulatory agencies.

1.nbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbsp Promotes technical excellence within own section and supports groups through technical review participation lessons learned awareness and application and technical growth fostering.

2.nbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbsp Establishes and maintains relationships with required external and internal interfaces to ensure that customer requirements are understood and being achieved.

3.nbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbsp Establish modify monitor overall engineering program requirements timing and resources of own section and support groups to meet exceed business objectives and goals.

4.nbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbsp Effectively communicate technical and financial aspects of section activities vertically and horizontally in the organization.

5.nbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbsp Ensure positive actions are taken to encourage growth technical development and improved interpersonal skills.

6.nbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbsp Implement initiatives to continuously improve the responsiveness of the section organization to customer business needs.

7.nbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbsp Ensure compliance initiatives and training requirements are implemented.

QualificationsExperience

nbsp

1.nbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbsp Approximately 20 years of engineering experience with growing responsibilities.

2.nbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbsp Leadership attributes.

3.nbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbsp Hold valid and current General Civil Aviation Authority recognized international license.

4.nbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbsp Knowledge and experience within the avionics industry.

5.nbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbsp Strong verbal and written communication skills.

6.nbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbsp Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with effective problem solving abilities

7.nbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbsp Able to interface effectively with all levels of the organization and external customers.

8.nbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbsp Extensive knowledge and experience with rotary wing and fixed wing aircraft.

9.nbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbsp Experience working with the General Civil Aviation Authority and other Regulatory Agencies. Knowledgeable of the General Civil Aviation Authority regulations coupled with a strong engineering leadership background.
