Kuwait Oil Company KOC has awarded WorleyParsons a 5 year US 400m contract for the supply of Programme Management services. The contract serves to support KOC to achieve its objectives of reaching optimum capacity in its oilfields and enhancing its facilities by the most efficient and economical means available.

The contract aims to provide project management coordination planning design engineering construction management contracting procurement project controls and other services for construction of new oil field facilities upgrading of existing facilities and transfer of technology.

The new contract follows a previous 5 year contract which has grown the operation to over 300 people of some 20 nationalities.Acircnbsp WP presently has a slate of 9 projects under management. Each project is in the megaproject category.

Position reports to Engineering Manager



Primary objective

To ensure design integrity whilst leading the process engineering group.



Mandatory requirements

bullAcircnbsp NA. Degree.

bull At least of 12 years total post graduation experience

bull At least 10 years post graduation experience in oil amp gas refinery petrochemical industry experience.

bull Minimum of 5 years as Lead Discipline Engineer.

bull Minimum 2 years experience with the Contractor in the similar position.



Specific Accountabilities



bull Ensure work is carried out competently and effectively within time and budget constraints and that project objectives are satisfied.

bull Subject matter specialist for the resolution of issues arising across all areas of process design.

bull Overall supervision of instrumentation engineers designers and technical personnel in the execution of all WPK KOC PMC projects.

bull Mentoring of less experienced members of staff including 'hands on' approach to the formulation and delivery of training programmes for Kuwaiti personnel.

bull Ensure integrity of work scope and that all work is carried our in accordance with applicable codes and standards.

bull Manage discipline resource requirements including manpower planning recruiting and identification of expertise gaps and filling such.

bull Completing annual competency and performance assessments of personnel.

bull Prepare process engineering cost time and resource requirement estimates on all WPK assigned projects.

bull Proven ability to organise and manage teams of discipline engineers across a diverse portfolio of projects.

bull Proven record in mentoring training and technology transfer to location nationals.

bull Excellent skills with relevant software including MS Office suite.

bull Dispute resolution.

bull Ability to interact effectively with people and use clear fluent and expressive verbal and written language to convey information and ideas.

bull Broad based knowledge of the requirements for process engineering through all phases of project life cycle from FEED through to Commissioning within Oil amp Gas or related industries.



Desirable



bull PMC experience required.
