. Senior Cost Engineer



Senior Cost Engineers immediately required for International leading Main Contractor to join their MultiBillion Infrastructure Project. The ideal candidate will have 10 years experience with at least 5 years experience working within GCC countries and will have been employed by a major Contractor for the majority of their career. Railmetro project experience highly desired project experience from other infrastructure related will also be considered roads bridges tunnels.



Duties Responsibilities



1. Prepares and coordinates the development of staffing and operating plans for cost engineering activities. 2. Reviews contract drafts for adequacy of cost and scope definition and coordinates development of all data in support of negotiations. 3. Prepares coordinates and directs cost engineering presentations to Bechtel and client management as required. 4. Participates in or directs the development and implementation of Project Controls training programs and seminars within the global business unit. 5. Conducts personnel performance reviews and career counselling. Interviews candidates for employment and makes recommendations for employment decisions. 6. Interprets and executes policy objectives and standards applicable to cost control and cost analysis activities. 7. Directs cost analysis and problem solving activities and develops and executes policy objectives and standards applicable to cost analysis activities. 8. Supports proposal activities as required. 9. Performs or directs functional audits of project activities to ensure technical adequacy of project cost engineering activities. 10. Maintains liaison within global business unit to coordinate workload and staffing plans work processes and procedures. 11. Develops and supports improvement measure institutionalization for the global business unit. 12. Serves as a subject matter expert within the global business unit.



Desired Experience



Working knowledge of cost engineering functions including cost estimating cost control and cost analysis.

Construction experience as a Cost Engineer or Quantity Surveyor preferable.

Extensive knowledge of forms of contract with operational implementation and daily contractor management.

Skilled in oral and written communication with experience of presenting cost engineering information to managementclients.

Experience of identifying analysing and solving problems.

Knowledge of engineering procurement contracts construction and startup work processes.

Knowledge of engineering and construction management customarily acquired over time through specialised instruction or practical experience.



Qualifications Bachelor degree or equivalent preferably in Engineering or Construction Management or Quantity Surveying An advanced level of Primavera P6 and MS Excel skills desirable Experience of forecasting scheduling techniques and risk analysis.
