The group operates in over 130 countries and employs over 95000 personnel worldwide.They are currently recruiting for the position of Mechanical Field Engineer based offshore Qatar.Job Description The Mechanical Field Engineer will be responsible for the proper preparation and execution for PWT COD Project activities related to his disciplines. Review and approval of Piping Mechanical Deliverables as per the Document Distribution matrices Review of Construction Method Statement from Safety Quality Engineering and Construction perspectives Provide Engineering Input to resolve Construction Issues Look for ways to optimize the engineering procurement testing and construction activities to assist the Contractor in meeting the project schedule Review and technical approval of Non Conformance and Deviation Requests Review and quantity validation of Contractor request for Variation Orders related to Piping Mechanical works Cooperating closely with the Safety Team to ensure that HSE standards are maintained and that Safety issues are monitored and addressed by the site supervision team Ensuring that contractors duties are performed by competent and experienced personnel and in sufficient numbers to achieve objectives Progress reporting to the Construction Manager on Daily Weekly and Monthly basis Ensures that all activities comply with Quality Control procedures during Engineering and Construction Provide assistance along the Commissioning and StartUp activities Provide assistance in the execution of all 'project closeout' activities including REX Performs other similar or related duties as required or assigned by Project ManagerSkills Experience Mechanical Engineering degree Extensive experience in Piping Mechanical Field Engineering and Supervision role Familiar with company General Specifications and OPERCOM methodology. Previous work experience in oilgas field operation is required. Fluency in English Good leadership and communication skills are required. HSE consciousness able to coordinate all related interfaces. Practical sense autonomous rigorous Behavioural competencies Relationship management coordination with company Production Maintenance and Qatar Petroleum teams. Ability to work under pressure and stressing conditions.
