We are continuously recruiting talented individuals to fill our current and future vacancies for Senior Engineer Utilities role here in our Doha Qatar office.



Responsibilities



Responsibilities include but are not limited to

• Liaise with the Planning Authority and other government department and utility providers with regard to drainage requirements
  


• Assist in the preparation of strategic plans for the general development
  


• To assist in initiating new work and prepare design briefs for Consultants
  


• To be familiar with contractual procedures of contracts and other international contract conditions e.g. FIDIC
  


• Audit Consultants submissions in terms of quality and conformance to the requirements of the design briefs
  


• Assist in the preparation of the annual design budget
  


• To review Consultants design submissions
  


• Liaison with the various Drainage engineers within DD to ensure conformity to the overall plan and to highlights conflicts
  


• To assist in reviewing current design practice and where necessary modify to suite
  


• To be acquainted with the administration procedures of the DD
  


• Technical advise on Drainage matters
  


• Assist in the Preparation of cycle reports
  


• Liaise with the Roads Department with respect to all matters involving existing or proposed sewerage systems.
  


• Liaise with other utilities
  


• Liaise with planning Authorities and the Land Department to secure land for drainage use.
  


• Liaison with Project Division and advise on design issues
  


• Liaise with other utilities
  


• To assist in reviewing current specifications and apply new technology use to such specifications. Constant update of codes and standards
  


• Assist in the development and implementation of a quality Assurance System.
  
  
  
  
  
  
  Education Minimum Qualifications
  
  

  
  
  • NA Civil Engineering
  
  
  • To be a Chartered Professional Engineer from a Western European or American Institutions
  
  
  • Competent at Microsoft Word Excel and Project and knowledge of GIS.
  
  
  • Up to 15 years experience in Civil and Public Health Engineering in the disciplines of sewerage infrastructure and storm drainage systems including pumping stations and sewage treatment works.
  
  
  • Experience in Master PlanningDrainage area studies of large areas is also essential.
  
  
  • Experience in CCTV workAssets managementManhole surveys Hydraulic modelling is advantageous
  
  
  • Experience in projects involving government departments public and private organizations.
  
  
  • Experience in Development Control would be an advantage.

    • Ability to speak and write Arabic would be an advantage.
    
    
    • Culturally sensitive with experience in operating in a multicultural environment.
