Brief Posting Description

We are currently recruiting for a Project Manager on a 34 months contract basis located at our engineering office in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will report on project performance to client and WGPSN management with respect to safety performance cost containment and schedule for the project delivery. Will manage all work carried out by the WGPSN team based in Client office for Human Capital Project and global company resources. Role will be based in our client?s office in Abu Dhabi.

Detailed Description

• Align project objectives to those of the individual client.


• Ensure that all contractual requirements are complied with.


• Maintain and enhance WGPSN reputation and build successful working relationship with the customer.


• Develop agree and deliver project KPI?s ensuring maximum financial return to WGPSN.


• Direct personnel responsible for HSE quality engineering procurement construction and business services including subcontracts planning cost control and information management.


• Ensure that all work complies with client and WGPSN health safety environmental and quality policies and procedures project specific HSE and Quality plans.


• Ensure WGPSN management system is implemented and project specific Project Execution Plan HSE plan and Quality plan are implemented during the project.


• Ensure clear goals are set so that all project personnel are aligned to project requirements.


• Establish effective communication and interfaces with client and other contractors within the project and ensure agreed interfacing requirements are implemented efficiently.


• Arrange and chair project coordination meetings on a regular basis.


• Issue progress cost and information reports as required by the project.


• Receive and distribute all relevant communications with adequate guidance where action by others is required.


• Appraise management of project performance against project objectives.


• Be a safety leader and promote HSEQ awareness to all project personnel. Carry out regular site and project safety audits.


• Allocate and manage the work performed by the Human Capital Project team.


• Provide mentoring to Client Emirati Nationals who will participate in the project for Client.


• Set suitable tasks and follow up delivery with nominated Emirati Nationals for Human Capital Project.

  • Well established Project Leadership skills.
  
  
  • Extensive experience of WGPSN?s Project Management Procedures Processes and Working Practices.
  
  
  • Excellent understanding of Engineering Procurement Construction Commissioning and Start Up activities and practices.
  
  
  • Excellent Oral and Written Communications.
  
  
  • Needs to be excellent at communication with customers.
  
  
  • Negotiation skills.
  
  
  • Influencing and Persuasion.
  
  
  • Financially and commercially aware.
  
  
  • Contractually astute.
  
  
  • Previous experience of managing a project team is preferred.
  
  
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  
  
  • Expert in report writing.
  
  
  • A determination to continually improve safety in all aspects of plant design and operation.
  
  
  • Extensive experience in Brownfield Engineering project management experience.
  
  
  • Fully conversant with local regulatory environment and standard offshore international and national industry standards and specifications.
  
  
  • Overseas experience an advantage.
  
  
  • Preferably degree qualified in an engineering subject or business management.
  
  
  • Membership of a recognised professional institute preferred.
