Marketing Executive

It is proving increasingly difficult for Sky to achieve growth ambitions and sales targets with a one size fits all approach. Market competition and reducing headroom mean that we must refine our approach to how we identify target and reach prospects. With that in mind we have created a Segment Planning team that will lead the way in identifying and reaching volume opportunities outside of our core marketing plans.
One of the areas of focus within this team is to identify and exploit sales opportunities amongst external customer bases. Another is to identify and reach smaller 'emerging segments' that we need to treat approach differently e.g. an over 50s audience Ex Sky customers or Home movers'. This role is responsible for both of these areas and is crucial in our plans to increase sales amongst harder to reach segments.
The Segment Planning team are looking for a Marketing executive to support the development and implementation of a segmented marketing strategy. The role will be responsible for supporting the delivery of bespoke segment marketing plans and driving an increase in the acquisition rate from these groups.
Key Responsibilities
The overarching objective of this position is to support the identification of distinct customer groups and building marketing plans that maximise the sales opportunity amongst them. It will require strong stakeholder management skills to ensure plans are well executed across the business good analytical ability to assess the impact of marketing activity and a solid understanding of acquisition marketing principles.
Work closely with Marketing Controller and Strategy amp insight team to help identify attractive customer segments that require a differentiated approach to marketing
Plan and agree research to better understand target groups and inform development of marketing plansoffer strateg
Work with online and offline acquisition marketing teams to develop and agree marketing plans to target customer groups
Aid in management and coordination of the agreed plans to ensure each team delivers outputs that are in line with overarching requirements on time and aligned to original brief
Conduct analysis of marketing results from targeted campaigns and produce timely feedback for the wider business
Develop internal communications processes to ensure that all relevant stakeholders are feeding into and aware of plans for target customer groups
Conduct adhoc research and analysis across Segment Planning team to support wider team activity
Analyse and understand marketing insight generated across the business e.g. Joiners and lavers survey core tracker to consolidate and communicate key findings across the team
Generate regular summaries of activity across Segment Planning team to communicate with the sider Marketing department
Requirements
Degree andor equivalent marketing qualification s
Experience in a fast moving B2C marketing department ideally with exposure to TTL marketing planning execution and measurement
Energetic selfstarter with relevant experience who can work across teams to meet objectives
Analytical approach to problem solving with the ability to learn and apply new skills quickly
Good communicator with excellent detail skills and experience of working in a busy corporate environment with challenging deadlines
