The Mechanical Engineer will work as part of the Discipline Engineering Team within the Engineering function and will be based in Luanda.

They will be responsible for leading the resolution of all Mechanical Engineering issues on the project and providing technical leadership on pressure systems vessels piping valves heat exchangers lifting equipment cranes and HVAC systems.

The role involves a strong element of coaching and mentoring of engineers with the aim of achieving long term and sustained full mechanical engineering support.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead a team of discipline mechanical engineers develop capability competence and resource drive HSSE and Quality culture.

Help in development of standards and ensure compliance.

Decide discipline work prioritization to meet business need.

Integrate short and long term discipline engineering activities into functional plans.

Coordinate and manage performance of discipline engineers and contractors

REQUIREMENTS

Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering

Chartered Mechanical Engineer

Essential experience and job requirements

Excellent mechanical integrity process safety and HSSE awareness

Strong interpersonal influencing and communications skills

10 years of experience or more within Mechanical Engineering
