Postdoctoral AssistantGraduate Student Job Posting

In order to work on an NPRP project a member of the Qatar Foundation we are in search of a Postdoctoral AssistantGraduate Student.

Project Title

A Monitoring Framework Development for the Next Generation Stadia to be Showcased During Qatar 2022 World Cup.

Following tasks to be completed

Task 1 Investigations of the HumanEnvironmentStructure Interaction Considerations for Monitoring

Task 2 Laboratory Structure Development and Experiments

Task 3 Development of Specialized Digital Signal Processing Algorithms

Task 4 Network Data Collection and Visualization

Task 5 Field Implementation in Qatar during PreWorld Cup Games

The applicant is expected to have a background in Civil or Mechanical Engineering. A Structural Analysis Structural Dynamics Structural Health Monitoring Finite Element Modeling andor Experimental Data Collection background is preferred.

Project Duration 3 years. Contract will be renewed annually.

BENEFITS

The official costpackage of the Postdoctoral AssistantGraduate Student is 45000 per year.

Qatar University will provide

a. Furnished accommodations beginning on the date of arrival utilities are at the employeersquos expense.

b. Annual economy air ticket allowance to the employeersquos home country as per quotation from Qatar Airways for the employee only.

c. Annual paid vacation for 35 calendar days. Permission for vacation will be given in accordance with the work needs of the research project.

d. Postdoctoral AssistantGraduate Student and hisher family shall benefit from national health care as may be available in the State of Qatar.

e. Monthly salary range from OR 7000 to OR 9000 that incorporates ndash Basic monthly salary range from QR 6500 to QR 8500 B.Sc. holder or M.Sc. holder ndash Transportation allowance of QR 500
