POSITION SUMMARY Under the direction of the Software Development Manager this position is responsible for working on the design development operation and maintenance of a variety of webbased applications. POSITION ACTIVITIES Ensure application compatibility with longterm and shortterm hardware software and operating systems Maintain the existing websites and communicate with users and other departments about their requirements Keeps abreast of developments in the field and recommends new technology and new services applicable to WCMCQ web infrastructure Maintain details of methodology used for developed application and its source code with embedded comments in CVS Obtain and maintain a working knowledge of IDE Databases operating systems and hardware utilized by the software development group. Design development and implementation of web applications to meet the requirements of the organization. Work within control guidelines for web postings and application changes Participates and facilitate brainstorming and workshop sessions to address technical issues during the planning and execution of the projects. Keeps abreast of current developments in the field through continuing education professional reading participation in conferences workshops and professional groups Other duties as assigned
