Senior Visual Merchandiser

Job Description



If you have merchandising experience working in a specialty or boutique environment and exposure to luxury or high end productwe are looking for you.

As a Visual Merchandising Specialist you will be responsible for setting and implementing the visual direction to optimize sales within the company’s wholesale retail partner locations.

You will partner with store management to educate them on visual guidelines. Utilize your creative flair to put product together in a dynamic way at the retail level to drive sales. Your ability to successfully set the direction of branded product and execute how the product should be displayed on the retail floor brand guidelines from HQ provided will be critical.

Will need to be able to provide samples of your work!

Job Description

• Work with the visual merchandising team to review store opening design plans and assist with store opening setups as needed

• Attend new store openings and visit stores per month to give direction on visual displays

• Train and work with store staff to provide feedback and direction on all visual merchandising issues

• Take pictures of the store and upload them to the Thread

• Complete a Store Visit Evaluation Form after each store visit and review it with store staff

• Plan floor sets and displays in coordination with the monthly marketing cadence i.e. seasonal deliveries gift with purchase instore promotions etc. including

• Collaborate with visual merchandising team to create floor set and display materials in order to communicate to store managers

• Through store picture reviews ensure plans are implemented and maintained

• Review the Table of Contents for the monthly floor sets with Retail Visual Merchandising Manager

• Collaborate with visual merchandising team to plan for key retail holiday floor sets i.e. Christmas Mother’s Day etc.

• Design displays and assist as needed at photoshoots

• Responsible for continual process improvement including recommending and implementing best practices

Skills

• Specialized merchandising training desirable Strong sense of display and design

• 35 years merchandising experience working in footwear or apparel industry

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Strong desire and ability to serve customers and solve problems

• Ability to build good rapport with customers and consumers communicating ideas and concepts with an end result of increased sales and profitability

• Ability to interact with customers and outside sales representatives in situations that require confidence tact and resourcefulness

• Ability to create andor interpret planograms and floor plans

• Strong PC skills utilizing Microsoft Office software

• Detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Excellent organization and follow through skills

• Strong team player

Bachelor's Degree
