THE PROJECT

Qatar's Expressway Programme is one of the largest road building projects in the world and you could be a part of it. A talented multinational programme management team is employed on

the Expressway Programme including specialists in project management engineering project controls logistics quality management risk management information management health and safety and public relations.



The Expressway Programme comprises a complex network of over 730 km of multilane expressways underpasses flyovers and multilevel interchanges designed to integrate with various modes of transport. It will produce some of the most functional and iconic streetscapes in the world.



THE ROLE



Reporting to the Cost Manager responsible for estimating budgeting cost control cashflow and reporting.



MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead a small team of Quantity Surveyors


• Preparation and maintenance of estimates budgets cost report and cashflows


• Budget allocation and tracking


• Review and comment on bids and contract award recommendation reports


• Estimating of value engineering options and lifecycle costs


• Establishment and maintenance of a program cost benchmarking database


• Analysing and reporting on Consultants and Contractors cost reports and cashflows


• Coordination with Package Managers Consultants and Contractors


• Preparation of monthly and weekly reports
  
  
  
  EXPERIENCE SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
  

  
  
  • BSc in related subject or equivalent experience
  
  
  • MRICS or equivalent
  
  
  • 10 years post graduate experience
  
  
  • Sound knowledge of all engineering and commercial aspects of major civil and Infrastructure projects including roads bridges and utilities
  
  
  • Experience in conceptual estimating cost planning financial accounting expenditure profiling cost reporting and cost forecasting
  
  
  • Ability effectively monitor and analyse cost identify trends and recommend corrective actions
  
  
  • Experienced user of MS Office advanced MS Excel user and Primavera Contracts Manager
  
  
  • Report writing skills an advantage
  
  
  • Previous experience in the Middle East an advantage
  
  
  • Fluent English both written and spoken
