Team Leader - Network and Communications for Qatar

VAM Systems is a Business Consulting, IT Solutions and Services company with operations in UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, USA, Australia, Singapore & India. VAM Systems is currently looking for Team Leader - Network and Communications for our Qatar operations with the following skill set and terms and conditions: Skill set required: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline. A proven track record of performance with technical responsibility and an in-depth understanding and mastery of network including but not limited to routing, VPN, Firewall, QOS, VOIP, F5, IT management and monitoring software solutions. Manage the services provided by the Infrastructure team to ensure high quality of performance in implementations and networking in compliance with the IT guiding principles. Deliver projects within cost, time, scope & quality standards. Maintain the highest level of service availability within minimum service downtime. Manage to test and evaluate unified communications, telephony and network systems to eliminate problems and make improvements. Liaise with network support staff at branches globally in evaluating their existing network infrastructure and propose solutions to optimise their network infrastructure. Experience with design, implementation, and migration of complex network and communications projects. Routing and Switching experience with Cisco IOS and NX-OS (Cisco 2900, 3900, ASR, 3750, 4500, 6500, Nexus 2k/5k/7k/9k). Firewall and load balancing implementation experience (F5,ACE, CSM, CSS, ASA, FWSM). Solid understanding of TCP/IP and routing protocols (BGP and OSPF). Understanding of VLAN, SVI, STP, VDC, VPC. Understanding of DNS and DHCP. Ability to troubleshoot network and system connectivity issues. Creative problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Must be able to work independently or as a contributing member to the team. Interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members. MS Visio and Excel experience. Ability to manage projects and drive them to completion. Ability to multitask and prioritize workload. Experience & Certifications Network/Firewall/Load-balancing migration experience. 7+ years practical experience in a network environment as a network engineer, architect, analyst or specialist. Cisco certifications (eg. CCNA, CCDA, CCNP, CCSP, CCIE). Microsoft Visio. Key Responsibilities: Responsible for all data, wireless and voice technical and projects activities. Performing all the technical follow up & activities required for Data Network and Voice projects. Collaboration (Voice & Video) designing, implementing and supporting solutions. Provide consultation for the design, project leadership skills and architect solutions, project plan and manage delivery of projects. Directly responsible for setting objectives for the team members and assisting the performance of the team members, in addition to working with the team to investigate new technologies that could lead to increase performance, security, monitoring capabilities, management capabilities and cost savings for the bank. Actively participate in Datacenter design and implementation planning. Remote office and WAN design/planning. Create, review, and maintain SOPs and related documentation. Support application and system migrations Document and design network subnets, firewall rules, and load balancing based on application requirements. Stage, deploy, and test configurations. Resolve issues and escalate to DC network team management when necessary. Implement new equipment. Patience to adhere to maintenance windows and change control procedures.
