King Khaled Eye Specialist Hospital (KKESH) is a tertiary care ophthalmic facility operated by the Ministry of Health (MOH) of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The hospital provides quality tertiary ophthalmic care to the patients it serves and promotes the delivery of Kingdom-wide ophthalmic care through its outreach, educational, and research programs. Global Medical Recruiting's dynamic and professional team will assist you in the following: 1. Creating a CV according to the requirements of Middle Eastern hospitals. 2. Submitting your CV to different hospitals/clinics in Middle Eastern countries of your choice. 3. Scheduling of a face to face/SKYPE/telephone interview with hospital management on request from the hospital . 4. Assist you in offer of employment and submission of documents required by hospitals. 5. Assist you with Verification / Credentialing (Clinical Staff) and all recruitment requirements. 6. Liaise with the employer regarding issuing of your entry visa into the country. 7. Booking of your flight and meet & greet at the airport. LIVING IN SAUDI-ARABIA: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is relatively sparsely populated – which is no surprise, seeing as the desert is the predominant geographical feature. Of the almost 29 million residents living in Saudi Arabia, over 80% are settled in towns and cities such as Riyadh and Jeddah. These numbers include more than eight million foreigners relocating there for work; who are mainly of Indian, Pakistani or Bangladeshi origin. The number of North American and European expats is estimated at 100,000. The Saudi nation still has one of the most traditional societies worldwide. It is governed by firm religious beliefs, rules and traditions, which expats must acclimatize to, for the law is no more lenient on foreigners than it is on local residents.The traditions and attitudes of local society have been shaped by Islamic as well as Bedouin culture. ABOUT THE EMPLOYER For more than two decades, KKESH has been recognized for excellence in its delivery of ophthalmic patient care, for its strong educational programs (including continuing medical education seminars and symposia, and training of ophthalmology residents and subspecialty fellows and other allied healthcare. The Department of Ophthalmology offers tertiary ophthalmic services through its subspecialty divisions, which include Anterior Segment, Glaucoma, Vitreoretinal, Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, Oculoplastics and Orbit, Neuro-ophthalmology, and Uveitis. These divisions are staffed by board-certified ophthalmologists who have graduated from accredited residency training programs and completed a minimum of one-year subspecialty fellowship training at KKESH. KKESH Medical Departments: The Departments of Medicine, Anesthesia and Pathology facilitate ophthalmic care by providing essential non-ophthalmic services. These departments are staffed by board-certified graduates of accredited residency and fellowship programs in their fields of specialization.The Medical Coordination and Eligibility Department reviews all referrals and identifies patients who meet the tertiary care guidelines for care at KKESH. Patients who meet the tertiary care guidelines for care at KKESH may also be accepted through the Screening Clinic or Emergency Room. Hospital Statistics: KKESH has more than 1,200 full-time employees, including over 200 nurses and 70 physicians. The physician roster includes 50 ophthalmologists, ten anesthesiologists, six adult internists, two pediatricians, one radiologist, and one pathologist. With the growth and expansion of the ambulatory surgical center, the number of inpatient beds at KKESH has been reduced from 263 to 228. In 2006, more than 10,000 patients were admitted for elective surgery, as well as emergency surgical and medical care.In 2006, 98,994 patient visits occurred in the outpatient department, 26,211 patient visits took place in the emergency room, and 10,625 surgical procedures were performed in the operating theatre.
