Expressive Arts Therapist

Job Purpose To work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide a high standard of clinical care which encompasses expressive arts therapy assessment treatment and management of patients across a wide range of clinical areas including mental health disorders lifestyle modification and chronic pain. Key AccountabilitiesPrimary Responsibilities The successful candidate will assist in the setup organization and operation of Clinical Services. Key Duties To provide high quality expert expressive arts clinical care planning designing and facilitating a rehabilitation program. To schedule patients’ leisure and recreational activities providing age and developmentally appropriate therapy groups and establishing behavioural treatment goals. To provide therapeutic education social skills recreationalleisure art music and activity services to adolescent adult and geriatric patients. To flexibly manage a varied caseload of both inpatients and outpatients with complex needs using evidence based client centred principles. Work as part of a team to ensure effective communication and delivery of care. Educational Duties To participate and lead in occupational therapy inservice development. To develop and implement service improvement. To assist in the teaching of other multidisciplinary team members clinical and nonclinical staff and others to promote knowledge of occupational therapy management to enhance patient care. QualificationsTraining A Bachelor039s degree in a relevant behavioural health field e.g. recreational therapy music therapy or dance therapy Licensed as an expressive arts therapist in home country. Uptodate CPD in relevant expressive arts therapy areas. Postgraduate Qualification in a relevant subject area.
