Senior Finance Analyst Qatari Nationals only

Job Purpose

The Senior Finance Analyst is responsible for providing financial advice and support to ROTA Director Finance and Administrations Manager as well as other Managers within ROTA.

To establish and maintain financial systems as well as ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements with all Qatari laws and QF’s Financial procedures.



KEY RESULT AREAS

•Assist the Finance and Administrations Manager to share the responsibility for overall management and delivery of the Finance and Admin Department’s Strategic and business plan.

•In cooperation with the Finance and Administrations Manager draft monitor and assess the strategic and business plan for the department.

•Assess options for coordinating the activities procedures and systems so as to promote common policies and practices.

•Maintain daytoday financial control of all expenditure to ensure that all departments stay within budget.

•Ensure that all finances are properly administered and monitored including petty cash.

•Oversee monitor and advise on the proper allocation of resources.

•Ensure that appropriate financial regulations and controls are in place and in use at all times.

•Prepare and review detailed annual budgets to be presented to the Board of Directors for approval.

•Provide ROTA Director ROTA Managers and Heads regular financial reports to a proper YTD expenditure of line items be ready to bring forth and explain any variations from budgets.

•Ensure that all financial reporting obligations are met in relation to submissions for funding for contracts and any other initiatives.

•Act as signatory for all transaction within hisher limit.

•Attend all staff meeting and any other finance related meeting with QF as well as any other entity.

•Advise the ROTA Director managers Heads and the rest of ROTA staff on financial issues and process in a way that will in ROTA’s best interest.

•Maintain an awareness of organizational and technological developments and ensure that all departments within ROTA operates in ways which make best possible use of the resources available.

•Develop the organization’s funding base to secure present and future service delivery.

•Liaise and negotiate as appropriate with the funding authority and other funding sources on future service delivery initiatives and developments in conjunction with the ROTA’s Director and the Finance and Administrations Manager.

•Maintain appropriate relations with all stakeholders and provide the needed reports as to ensure compliance with the financial terms and conditions of all contracts.

•Work with Supervisor to Identify and implement training opportunities for the ROTA’s Finance department team.

Accountabilities

•BA degree in Finance is a must.

•A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role preferably in a NonProfit environment.

•CPA certified is preferred.

•Chartered certified is preferred.

•Information seeking with analytical thinking

•Ensures regular monitoring and evaluation of financial system with great emphasis on quality

•Good to advanced knowledge of Microsoft office the ERP systems and QuickBooks Pro is essential.

•Proven administrative leadership and management ability in the areas of financial controls.

•Ability to devise and implement a financial strategic as well as business pla.

•Ability to work on own initiative priorities handle pressure and take daytoday decisions on the running of ROTA’s Finance Department.

•Ability to communicate effectively in person in writing and over the telephone with individuals and with a wide variety of organizations and audiences and to research analyses and interpret complex information and produce clear verbal and written reports.

•Ability to lead and to contribute to the team.

•Fluency in English is required Arabic strongly preferred.
