My client is a leading European consultancy with a long standing relationship with ASHGHAL the Roads amp Highways authority in Qatar. This consultancy has recently been awarded a large package of the Project Management work on the massive Doha Expressway project. This is a highly complex 7 year programme of works managed by KBR split into 30 projects over nbsp900KM and costing nearly US4.5Billion.

Role amp Responsibility of the Resident Engineer

The resident engineer will be in a leadership position with client interest in mind ensuring the delivery from the consultants point of view to ensure the contractor is working to spec and within quality guidelines approval of material submissions and subcontractors and the review of all traffic and utility diversions. As usual the Resident Engineer will also have overall responsibility for the project health and safety and will be responsible for leasing with local government authorities.

Essential experience for the Resident Engineer

nbsp

• A relevant Bachelorrsquos Degree qualification


• Chartered or Professional Engineer or similar status


• Circa 15 years of postgraduate experience


• Excellent English Language skills


• Solid Project Management consultancy experience


• Experience as a Resident Engineer


• Solid experience on large scale highways projects
