For more information visit the company's website at www.ge.com Relocation Expenses Yes Role SummaryPurpose The Repair Technical Engineer Qatar will be working with the shops to implement the plan agreed over the blue print period as well as supporting emergent activities where technical support is needed. He will also be responsible for the support for fulfilling shops need in terms of safety cost quality and efficiency. Essential Responsibilities Be responsible of the implementation of new repair process qualifications in the regioncountry Complete the shop development program for the assigned geographic area including but not limited to shop layouts feasibility plans training equipment selection shops qualifications and process improvementCoordinate with the repair CoE teams Repair Engineering and Shops to fulfill on repair developmentCoordinate with Regionalization team for the growth strategy in the region in order to support business on verifying feasibility of new localization opportunities working with functions to define all case studies until approval phaseSupport the productivity and Policy 6.0 initiatives and projects thru in the shop operations of the assigned areaEnsure uniform implementation of new repair technologies across the assigned shopsEnsure application of correct standard technical documentation and other approved repair methodologies on the assigned shopsSupport the activities about standard repair cost listing for the assigned shops ensuring compliance with HQ controllership rulesSupport the activities about standard repair routings and verify correct implementation in the assigned shops as well.Actively participate to Repair CoE review rhythms leading technical initiatives and proactively coordinating resolution of technical issues as needed on an emergent basis. QualificationsRequirements Degree in EngineeringAt least five years of experience in component manufacturing or repair and overhaul environment with one or more of the following turbomachinery Axial Compressors Centrifugal Compressors Steam Turbines and Hot Gas ExpandersExtensive experience within the Oil Gas repair business.Ability and experience to lead teams in complex projectsCapability and experience to work with local and remote resources merging people from different locations as needed to close complex projects in due timeCapability to prioritize business requirements and to efficiently manage assigned budgets.
