Lifting Engineer

Job descriptionOur client is a world renowned EPCPMC company and is currently looking for a Lifting Engineer to work on a permanent basis in the Middle East.Key responsibilities will include Working on all phases including engineering construction installation and commissioning of the project. Ensuring design and engineering compliance with relevant codes standards project specifications and company standards. Providing technical support and expertise during procurement activities as per the contractual requirement including resolution of technical issues. Coordinating and monitoring engineering issues with EPC Contractors as per project requirements and completing the same within the time frame. Reviewing contractual technical documentation site engineering documentation commissioning documentation from EPC Contractor in all phases of the project. Coordinating and resolving issues related to lifting and transportation of PAU's and process modules maintaining cordial relationships with all parties concerned to ensure that the set schedules are complied with. Providing specialist knowledge and expertise to civil and structural engineering logistics including review and approval of all the related EPC documentation Vendor documentation and site engineering documentation as required. Taking a Lead technical role in the engineering phase including attending design review meeting HAZOPSIL workshops constructability studies project reviews and risk assessments as applicable for the project. Acting as site engineering focal point for lifting and transportation during design review and approval of contractors lift plans during construction. Communicating regularly with Operations and HSE Departments to ensure that the engineering design is acceptable to all user departments.The ideal candidate will have Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Structural Engineering or other relevant Engineering Discipline. Chartered Mechanical or Structural Engineer or equivalent. Minimum10 years of experience in the in oil and gas industry. Experience of the planning and design of large and multiple crane lifts. Experience in moving large loads by SPMT. Experience in lifting from vessels. Experience of engineering execution review and approval of technical specifications designengineering documents and procedures. Experience of working with Oil CompaniesProject Management ConsultantsEPC Contractors or OEMs is essential.
