The Role

Business Development Manager



Our client requires a talented Business Development Manager located in the Middle East to build a comprehensive picture of future sales opportunities in region aligned with a detailed medium term capture plan that seeks maximise both probability and profitability for the regions opportunities as a whole.



Key Objectives

To target over the medium to long term success of business capture via the development and implementation on strategic business initiatives.

Regional and country specific training and education programmes

Regional Symposiums

Regional and incountry investments

Targeted secondment opportunities both ways

MRO strategies

Alignment with and best use of UKTi and local Embassies

Expert on incountry Government and Customer aerospace strategy and mediumlong term plans

Develop relationships with local Airframer counterparts

To map out all formal and informal decisionmaking processes and influencersmakers and to propose effective strategies to maximise our clients influence to win right.



Therefore

gaining an indepth understanding of the regional levers that will allow our client to best position itself in advance of formal tender processes

developing a comprehensive strategy regioncountrycustomer that best matches our clients available resources to the regional levers

securing internal approval for the strategy on behalf of the Vice President Customers and Regional Director

leading the delivery of the strategy via the coordination and management of client resources



A key enabler of the role is the gathering and assimilation of complex information pertaining to the formal and informal customer selection processes.

As such the successful individual will be able to build and develop effective and sustainable relationships with both prospective and existing Customers Airframers and Government organisations within the regions aviation industry. You would be expected to foster substantive relationships with key influencers and airline decision makers in both new and emerging regional airlines as well as established customers currently operating large widebody aircraft equipment. This will be achieved through use of the individuals excellent interpersonal skills application of industry knowledge within the territory and an indepth understanding of the key issues facing our operators.

Develop and implement a regional strategyies that clearly defines the presales activities that our client will deliver to best position itself for current and future sales opportunities

Be cognisant of the competitor threat footprint and engagement in region and other business hazards facing our client and provide timely advice in a manner to develop and implement a strategy to overcome such matters

Inform the business as early as possible of all prospective sales and other business opportunities within the region



Relationships

Develop an excellent personal rapport with both key government and private individuals to enable the delivery of the key objectives in this role.



Sales Opportunities

Actively support the Sales Director in the development of individual Sales Campaign strategy plans and lead specific relationships as determined by the sales campaign plan

Work with the Sales Director to utilise resources in our client its partner companies and suppliers to deliver successful sales campaigns

Provide information on risks and opportunities affecting the agreed sales campaign plan utilising the knowledge of the customer and their organisational structure.



Compliance

Ensure that you fully understand and adhere to our clients Code of Conduct including Gift and Hospitality procedures and where appropriate comply with all relevant regulatory policies.
