Located in the KwaZulu Natal province Richards Bay Minerals RBM is part of the Rio Tinto Group 74 shareholding. RBM is an internationally recognized sand mining and mineral processing operations leader and is one of the world's foremost producers of titanium minerals high purity pig iron and zircon.

HRBP's provide an HR generalist service across the business. They are the operational 'ontheground' support system that is utilized by the business for all their general HR needs. This role maintains the link between employees line management and HR to ensure that relevant information with regards to HR planning and decision making is flowing effectively between stakeholders.
RBM has an imperative to deliver on the Human Resource Development HRD component of the Social Labour Plan SLP in order to achieve specific HDSA transformation targets. There is a direct responsibility of the HRBP team to help ensure that the business deliver on business transformation.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Reporting to the Manager HR Services as the Business Partner Human Resources you will be responsible for providing HR generalist support to line managers in order to facilitate the delivery of people KPI's in area of responsibility.
bullDrive the safety culture and facilitate the delivery of any HR elements of the safety plan
bullContribute to the business strategy by helping business leaders to identify prioritise and build organisational capabilities behaviours structures and processes
bullEnsure planning and support in the achievement of SLP plan at divisional level by Monitoring HRD Plans in area of responsibility
bullSupport standards for the implementation of talent management strategies and approaches and ensure roll out across area of responsibility
bullSupport line managers in forecasting and planning their talent pipeline requirements in line with functionbusiness strategy
bullPartner with People Support to ensure recruitment plan is executed according to agreed timeline in line with business needsplan and ensure that SLPHRD in terms of transformation imperatives and community recruitment requirements are taken into consideration by the recruitment team
bullProvide an end to end HR advisory support and coaching service aligned to best practice and Rio Tinto standards to both Leaders and employees within area of responsibility
bullAct as a change champion for the organisation to mold a culture of transformation
bullEnsure company compliance to the various legislative requirements and effective reporting to the relevant stakeholders within the area of Human Resources
bullSupport the business with employee and industrial relations by having knowledge of legislative requirements an understanding of impact on the organisation and developing a relationship with the employee representative bodies
bullFacilitate counseling grievances disciplinary hearings and address problems encountered in area of responsibility
bullEnsure planning and support in the achievement of the SLP at divisional level by facilitating the development of HRD plans for areas of responsibility
bullPerform fair and reasonable tasks related to the job and working environment at the discretion of the Manager

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
bullNational Diploma or Degree in Human Resources
bullHonours will be an advantage
bull35 years HR Generalist experience preferably in a unionised environment
bullDriver's License EB Code 08

bullWell versed in and thorough understanding of relevant legislation
bullComputer literate MS Office while SAP is preferred
