PROJECT MANAGER – QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS

Job Summary

The Project Manager ndash Quality is responsible for developing and overseeing the quality management system and quality assurance function to ensure IT projects and activities meet the quality goals of the organization. The Manager ndash Quality leads the development and establishment of the project methodology and standards and provides ongoing support to the project teams.



Key Accountabilities

bull Works with Director ndash Project Management Office and Shared Services and other staff members to develop a quality management system and quality goals to ensure projects are consistently delivered with assured quality expectations.

bull Prepares publishes and maintains the ITPMO Quality Management plan.

bull Ensures that quality and reliability standards and procedures for project management deliverables are implemented and maintained.

bull Develops and revises project methodology standards processes and templates.

bull Maintains project quality by defining and enforcing project Quality Assurance QA practices and procedures.

bull Implements a continuous improvement plan for growing and maturing the quality assurance function and quality management system.

bull Develops and provides organizational wide software methodology implementation support.

bull Develops and enhances SDLC processes and procedures and ensures adherence to them.

bull Researches and evaluates quality standards and methodologies are suitable for the organizational short term and long term needs.

bull Maintains knowledge of required quality best practices regulations corporate policies and standards to ensure that the quality assurance function and the quality management system remain in compliance with applicable standardsrequirements and current trends.

bull Identifies problem areas and devises and delivers solutions to enhance Quality Control QC and prevent future issues.

bull Reviews and recommends appropriate corrective action and improvements to ensure consistency with the quality assurance function and the quality management system.

bull Participates in project gateway reviews to help ensure projects comply with the established quality standards and objectives.

bull Keeps senior management apprised of quality assurance issues.

bull Assesses project management maturity levels and makes recommendations for improvement

bull Works with Program and Project Managers and represents quality management system and related processes in connection with internal or external audits and leads analysis and improvements.

bull Maintains the document repository for the IT PMO to include project management deliverables templates presentations reports training materials books videos etc.

bull Liaises with procurement staff to establish and maintain quality requirements from external suppliers

bull Facilitates Lessons Learned workshops for completed projects publishes findings and creates and maintains a shared library of Lessons Learned outcomes

bull Is the subject matter expert for all questions relating to quality and standards drives standardization education and communication of quality requirements.

bull Develops direct reports through coaching and provides performance feedback and assessments participates in educational opportunities participates in professional quality forums.

bull Adheres to Companyrsquos standards as they appear in the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest policies

bull In view of the developing and changing needs and opportunities within the Company during this startup phase this position may be required to perform other duties as assigned and reporting relationships may vary.



Qualifications Skills and Experience Selection Criteria

Education

bull Essential Bachelorrsquos Degree in related field

bull Preferred Masterrsquos Degree in related field

Experience

bull 15 yearsrsquo experience in an IT environment

bull 7 yearsrsquo experience in Project management or coordination

bull Establishing project management methodologies best practices and processes

bull Experience in PM tools techniques and managing medium to large scale IT projects

bull Quality management

Certification and Licensure

bull Project Management PMP or any other andor Quality Certification. Prince2

Job Specific Skills and Abilities

bull Demonstrated knowledge and handson experience in establishing a Quality Management System for Project Management function

bull Fluency in written and spoken English
