ERD Completion Engineer UAE Offshore

Job Description

OPC are working with an Operator in the UAE who require an ERD Completion Engineer for their offshore operations either on a residential or consultancy basis.

Role Specification

• Prepare the drillingcompletion activity bas cart for the rig force assigned for companyrsquos drillingcompletion operations incorporating requirements from business units.


• Prepare and update annually WHPT data book


• Prepare the required data and information for the business plan and work program. Incorporate GSS requirement budget in the annual drilling budget.


• Prepare companyrsquos drilling completion and work over prognoses in cost effective manner


• Monitor and followsup the daily drilling completion and workover operation for verifying directional drilling data anticipating drilling and completion problems.


• Produce a post drilling performance report containing evaluation of expected vs. actual interpretation and analysis of problems occurred during drilling completion stimulation cleanup testing and logging and coiled tubing operations and provides technical advice to improve the performance or avoid the reoccurrence of similar problems in future.


• Review the final drilling reports prepared for ensuring proper well data documentation.


• Check and verify final well reports.


• Prepare companyrsquos standard procedures for critical operations such as killing POOH existing completion strings dishing and window cutting in coordination with concerned services and drilling engineers.


• Maintains close liaison with services companies' engineers keep abreast with recent development methods etc. Conducts study on adaptability to companyrsquos operations and make appropriate recommendations.


• Prepare the specification of material and equipment requirements sufficient to meet operational needs.


• Participate with 3rd party material department and equipment suppliers in maintaining and appropriate level of drilling and completion material including follow up on delivery consumption and disposal of such material and then making recommendations for proper control.


• Conduct inspection of the tubing down hole and wellhead equipment recovered from work over wells analyse the conditions for these equipment and provide appropriate recommendations on suitability of these equipment to well's conditions.


• Maintain up to date statistics in database Finder and issue monthly routine reports such ass rig activity reports etc. to provide accurate and timely information to the department and business units.


• Coordinate with the 3rd party to ensure that companyrsquos HSE Policy is fulfilled during drilling and completion operations.
