Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering

The Department of Mechanical Engineering within the School of Engineering at the American University in Dubai invites qualified applicants for the position of Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering to begin teaching in Fall 2014.

The successful candidate will have

Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from a USaccredited institution at the time of appointment

A track record of teaching and research in aerodynamics internal combustion engines and turbomachinery. A background in manufacturing technologies is also desirable

Demonstrated familiarity with experimentallab procedures

Excellent English written and oral communication skills

The School of Engineering at AUD offers predominantly undergraduate programs leading to Bachelor of Science degrees in Civil Computer Electrical and Mechanical Engineering. Our curricula are supported by stateoftheart labs and facilities a diverse group of faculty with outstanding expertise and solid links with the professional community. The compensation package for this position is competitive and is based on the expatriate model.
