Sleep Lab Technician

Chase Resourcing are delighted to announce our new partnership with a prestigious and well known hospital group in Saudi Arabia. Our client require the skills of a Sleep Lab Technician nbspto help ensure that their hospital receives ongoing accreditation. We wish to appoint appropriately qualified and experienced Performance Improvement Specialist to be able to perform Polysomnography test perform scoring under supervision of technologist and operate all related equipment. Duties Including but Not Limited To 1. Schedule patients for polysomnography tests. 2. Obtain medical history of patient and summarize relevant data and Prepare patient for testing 3. Ensure a proper environment for testing. 4. Assist physician with invasive diagnostic procedures. 5. Coordinate patient testing with Nursing Services as required. 6. Take remedial action and notify physician. 7. Patient assessment and respiratory equipment setup and operation 8. Have a working knowledge of the physiological and behavioural aberrations associated with sleeparousal pathology 9. Be familiar with all instrumentation used in a sleep laboratory and have a command of the sleepinduced changes in the physiology of various body systems including but not limited to the neurological musculoskeletal cardiac and respiratory systems 10. Using specialized instruments to record during sleep electrical potentials from the brain electroencephalography eyes electrooculography and skeletal muscle electromyogaphy 11. Using specialized instruments to measure and record during sleep other physiological parameters including nasal and oral airflow thoracic and abdominal respiratory effort electrocardiography oximetry snoring esophageal pressure and esophageal pH 12. Online monitoring of PSG recordings including preparation of detailed reports of sleep cardiac and respiratory events recorded through the night 13. Prepared to apply and titrate CPAPBiPAP and handle various medical emergencies that might arise during a study. 14. Apply and adjust respiratory treatments for various sleep disorder. Treatment includes CPAPBiPAP and oxygen therapy. 15. Well prepared to coach and train difficult patients to use their CPAPBiPAP devices properly explaining the risks of these procedures and to comply with the plan of treatment . 16. Monitoring initial responses to therapy and dynamic responses that change with patient condition. 17. Conducting cardiopulmonary rehabilitation.
