Joie Design is a boutique creative agency and we specialise in brand development and increasing profits for our clients. Our strengths lie in determining the psychological message or big idea that our clients clients would want to perceive about our client company and then we design the visual language according to that big idea.



We have worked on many corporate identities and help our clients establish brands that allow them to stabilise their corporate image in the market improve business communicate with their clients and ultimately improve profits. We are an informal but successful team and try to have as much fun as possible along the way.



Description of the candidate



Undergraduate degree in Graphic Design Fine Arts or related field or equivalent visual design and management experience required graduate degree preferred

At least 3 years management experience working with largescale web sites brand development and advertising clients

Must possess a thorough understanding of interactive communications and delivery systems processes and user interface design as well as industry best practices

Knowledge of layouts graphic fundamentals typography amp limitations of the web

A strong working knowledge of experience design brand development interactive commerce and creative process

Print and web design capabilities must know how to work in both media for integrated campaigns

Must understand conversion of design into print ready processes

Ability to lead projects from concept to completion. Apply best practices in user interface and interactive design including image optimization and site mapping

Experience with software such as Photoshop Illustrator InDesign is essential flash would be helpful

A Basic knowledge of HTML DHTML CSS Actionscript amp Drupal would be helpful but not necessary

Ability to make evaluative judgments

Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing

Ability to supervise and train employees to include organizing prioritizing and scheduling work assignments

What the job involves



The creative director is charged with determining the best ways for us to visually represent our company’s identity online. It's very much a peopleoriented job involving development of highlevel concepts for design projects. It also involves working with internal and external clients pitching designs and understanding client needs. We will require you to develop visual designs based on the big idea and relevant research and at other times the Creative Director will be responsible for recruiting and managing internal design resources.





Responsibilities



Lead creative sessions for project kickoffs

Manage multiple projects from concept through to completion

Develop creative programs and design concepts that meet the business objectives of the organization and that advance our brand strategy

Establish creative direction for the entire line of online services and programs

Supervise and inspire the creative team inhouse or sub contracted to generate multiple concepts for a campaign or project

Work with the strategy and occasionally and copywriters to develop concepts and present to management

Work with internal teams to generate ideas for pitching and proposals

Manage team members

Provide quality control over concepts and projects
