Administrative Manager
The Gene Center Munich seeks a skilled science administrator to manage its daytoday operation. The Gene Center is an interdisciplinary institute of the University of Munich whose 16 independent research groups address fundamental problems in molecular bioscience using a diverse range of stateoftheart methods from structural biology and biochemistry to functional genomics systems biology and bioinformatics. The institute is located on the biomedical research campus MunichGroAtilde159hadern and promotes an interactive collegial and international scientific culture.
As Administrative Manager you will be responsible for all aspects of the daily operation and administration of the Gene Center and the Department of Biochemistry. You will be assisted by the institute's central staff and work closely with the scientific directors and other group leaders.
Your tasks
- administration of finances budget of several million acirc130notyear and personnel
- coordinating and supervising the administrative and technical staff of the institute
- supporting the directors and group leaders with grant applications faculty recruitment and special projects planning and organization of scientific events
Your profile
- PhD in life sciences or related field
- substantial research and administrative experience
- excellent organizational interpersonal and management skills
- fluentmunication in both English and German
