Senior Production Technologist STAFF Nordics

Production Technologists PT to fill two positions in the Subsurface Development Department in the Business Unit a joint venture .

The unit operates over 400 wells drilled over the last 40 years in 15 producing oil and gas fields which are under natural depletion or water drive. This has an active future development program which is looking to unlock the remaining tight reservoirs. This requires advanced drilling completion stimulation and enhanced oil recovery techniques. Application of new technology to lower the Unit Development Cost for these reservoirs will be a key focus for the incumbents.

A special reservoir management challenge is to sustain profitable production from long horizontal wells in maturing fields. This requires offshore well interventions and workovers to restore well integrity and to enhance well productivity through restimulation water shutoff scale removal or artificial lift optimisation. The Production Technologists report to the Well Technology Team Leader.

Key Responsibilities

Technology

Mature and implement well technologies to optimize field developments improve reservoir management and restore well integrity. This includes but is not limited to horizontal completions for multistage fracturing of horizontal wells smart well completions extremereach coiled tubing interventions remedial zonal isolation solutions sealants for casing and tubing leak repairs sand screens for proppant flowback control new technologies for matrix acid stimulation corrosion preventions and tubing material selection.

Hydrocarbon Maturation

Deliver well concepts for field development plans. Use well reservoir and integrated production system modeling tools to optimize the development concept. Design completions and select tubing material.

Well Integrity

Provide well integrity assurance corrosion and well life prediction.

Management

Manage studies technology development and implementation projects with 3rd party providers.

Capabilities

Coach and develop junior staff and introduce advanced PT capabilities.

Who we are looking for

The role requires an innovative production technologist or well technologist with the following qualifications with demonstrated leadership skills and competencies

Production technologist with relevant industry experience preferably with an Operator experience with completion stimulation well optimization and well modeling. Both experienced technical professionals and young professionals are invited to apply.

Well connected with Industry experts in the area of completions stimulation or workoversinterventions.

Master degree from an accredited technical university with a strong grounding in a technical discipline i.e. Physics Mechanics or Chemistry.

Experience with project managing RampD projects and studies involving other disciplines Drilling Engineering Well Services Petroleum Engineering Mechanical EngineeringTool Development Production Chemistry Corrosion Engineering

Recognized implementer of innovative solutions supported by technical publications patents or equivalent.
