Retail Marketing Executive
.
It's an exciting time
Sky Retail plays a key part in delivering new customer sales and existing customer retention and has a unique role in being the public face of Sky. A strategic channel for the business it represents a strong growth opportunity and a key focus for the business.
It's an exciting time to join the Retail Team a transformation vision has been established and there is significant investment in this route to market to deliver change and innovation. The route to market includes 280 stores in the UK's leading shopping centres a fleet of 60 customised event vehicles and over 550 doortodoor Sky Walkers who deliver over 25 of Sky's new customer sales.
This role exists
There is a particular focus on Retail to collaborate with both product and brand teams as well as our acquisition counter parts. This means you'll be expected to Retail as a whole always considering all three RTM's and maximising new opportunities for the channel. As an Executive within the team you'll be expected to be the professional and strategic face of the team to approach each new opportunity rationally and inquisitively opening up as much customer engagement for our agents as possible and formulating robust plans to move things forward. The Head of Retail Marketing and Retail Marketing Controllers will help you shape those plans and you can rely on the rest of the team to support bringing them to life.
Day to Day
Campaign Management amp Delivery
Manage campaigns from inception through to post analytics
Be the campaign owner for approx. 1 in 3 campaigns utilising team resource and agencies to complete.
Liaise with planning and formulate strongest offercall to action opportunities
Advise key Leadership Team stakeholders on approach and launch details
Continuously analyse results and optimise campaigns accordingly to support business objectives and hit sales targets.
Manage annual marketing budgets and forecasting.
Routes to Market Strategist
Be first point of contact for internal stakeholders and champion performance across all channels.
Help to shape and implement development plans for this route to market.
Organise and conduct regular focus groups for SRS with the support of the Marketing Controller.
Working with the Compliance Team to review the Mystery Shopping Programme ensuring it is relevant and provides necessary insight.
Manage 'Skydeas' from the SRS field and into Head Office plans.
Supporting field communications and events.
Champion internal and external stakeholder approval for all marketing activity seeking approvals from different business owners and legal teams.
Work closely with the Leadership Team Customer Experience and Customer Rewards team help formulate plans for existing customer engagement within Retail.
Consistently drive innovation evaluation amp performance across RTM's.
Being the product owner within Retail for Sky Sports shaping and owning the yearly campaign.
Profiling competitors on current offers amp promotions and providing defensive communications to sales teams.
Essential Skills
21 degree or higher.
Trade or Retail marketing experience across a range of field based routes to market delivering campaigns end to end.
Experience with POS and instore environment development.
Minimum 3 years trade or retail marketing experience gained in either client or agency environment.
Demonstrable experience managing multiple creative agencies across a number of campaigns.
Commercial understanding of the retail competitive landscape.
Proven experience of a building strong relationships across all levels both internally and external suppliers.
Able to work under pressure autonomously with little supervision achieving consistent results.
Comfortable managing a large budget and tracking performance against business KPI's.
Numerate amp analytical with the ability to identify insightful data amp trends presenting this with robust business cases to senior stakeholders.
Desirable Skills
Marketing specific qualification e.g. CIM.
Experience developing and rolling out ongoing training and communication across sales teams.
Proven line management experience of at least one direct report.
