CH2M HILL Geologist KSA

Job Purpose

The role is for a Geologist with an overall responsibility to manage and oversee the construction of groundwater wells and associated tests. .

Job ResponsibilitiesAccountabilities

• Monitor and inspect the general construction work in accordance with quality requirements method statements


• Evaluate offset data before the start of drilling


• Analyze evaluate and describe formations while drilling


• Advise on drilling hazards and drilling bit optimisation


• Assist in preparation of daily weekly and monthly progress reports


• Daily field supervision on actual execution of works according to drawings and specifications


• Liaise with the contractor on all construction related matters


• Maintain photo and written diaries to record daily works.
  
  Basic Qualifications
  

  Job RequirementsQualificationsExperience

  
  

  
  
  • BS in Civil Engineering or in Geology with minimum 7 years of experience working in water related projects is preferred
  
  
  • Site experience including monitoring and inspecting the drilling of groundwater wells is a must
  
  
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills and good presentation skills in English.
  
  
  • Written and spoken Arabic skills are beneficial but not essential.
  
  
  • Enthusiastic about improving the safety performance of site operations.
  
  
  • Able to communicate effectively with site teams and motivate them to meet the project objectives
  
  
  • KSA experience is preferred
