We have been mandated in order to identify an experienced petroleum engineer to join a dynamic North Sea focussed team. Our client is a multinational EampP company with assets situated globally and variety of projects available.

Aberdeen is the hub of the technical specialists for projects situated in Europe Africa Asia and the Middle East. This office consists an internationally renowned technologies centre and frequently published industry leading professionals. Unfortunately this organisation does not support visa applications so only UKEU citizens or individuals with indefinite permission to work in the UK

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and optimise well and field performance on a daily basis. Responsible for the selection and operation of Artificial Lift systems.


• Well integrity surveillance detection and identification of well anomalies evaluate and analyse data to model solutions.


• Responsible for well modelling through Nodal and IPR analysis.


• Responsible for well data gathering monitoring and management. Transparency and documentation of interpretation. Acquisition interpretation analysis of surveillance data well testing amp metering problem well diagnostics wellbore flow assurance preventative treatment for corrosion scale wax asphaltenes hydrates.


• Interface and collaborate at a detailed technical level with operations reservoir and drilling engineers as well as geoscientists.


• Work with and clearly communicate technical information to all levels of the organisation asset partners government agencies and vendors.


• Participates in strategic and business planning efforts frequent participation in special project teams to address major issues such as decommissioning well reviews and well interventions.


• Review and implementation of new technologies and well performance tools such as control devices downhole gauges among others.


• Wellbore damage identification amp remediation emulsions acidization wax amp asphaltene deposition and water amp gas shutoff.
  
  
  

  Desired expertise and Experience

  
  

  
  
  • MSc in Petroleum Engineering if BSc is from a different discipline.
  
  
  • Core skills in Production Engineering.
  
  
  • Experience on well integrity management within the UK North Sea is highly desirable.
  
  
  • Previous experience of identifying well performance issues and delivering solutions is essential.
  
  
  • Knowledge of artificial lift using ESPs and gas lift.
  
  
  • High analytical skill set is required. Particular experience and proficiency with Nodal Analysis Prosper and Gap and Decline curve analysis.
  
  
  • Waterflooding experience is desirable.
  
  
  • Basic knowledge of gas condensate fields operations and well performance.
  
  
  • Experience in formation damage scale corrosion and sand production solutions. Broad Production Engineering experience knowledge of Reservoir Engineering is beneficial.
