Security Engineer

-- Job Description: ¥ Assists the installation team with technical project management to support execution of very technical and complex projects. ¥ Liaises with and represents installation department to internal teams to include project management, engineering, sales, estimating team, and others responsible for delivering large complex opportunities. ¥ Will help develop new training programs for field installation team. ¥ Will assist installation department with recruiting qualified installers and developing programs around building and staffing a large install team. ¥ Occasionally perform job QC visits with project managers to ensure projects are on track and requirements are being met. ¥ Participates in turnover meetings with the assigned Project Manager. Ensures that the Project Manager understands the technical solutions sold. Provides all documentation and specification related details. ¥ Stays abreast of new security technologies as well as integrated security solutions. ¥ Develop & coordinate necessary CAD drawings -- Job Requirements and Qualifications: ¥ Bachelor’s in engineering, or 2-4 years of experience in security systems such as Access Control, CCTV, Video Management Systems, Video Storage systems, and Security Network Design or equivalent security system engineering ¥ General knowledge of CAD, estimating, and project management software. ¥ Solid computer skills, including an understanding of MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Project. ¥ Must be able to work independently, have good verbal and communication skills, think conceptually, possess a strong work ethic, and be willing to travel 50% to 75% of the time. ¥ Must be able to communicate both verbally and in writing with fluency in English
