Key Accountabilities
- Manage technical aspects of field and office based Terrestrial survey projects in close liaison with the Project Manager.
- Manage technical and procedural activities that are or can be defined as or within ‘a project’.
- Develop and implement project required procedures in order to professionally and efficiently conduct a Terrestrial survey project.
- Develops maintains and manages Fugro Iraq Terrestrial data management system.
- Ensures the timely implementation of Terrestrial Survey related projects.
- Develop implement maintain and apply a quality control system that guarantees the highest achievable standard of products and services.
- Ensures that Fugro Iraq staff using Laser scanning hardwareSoftware has the required training and technical support guidance.
- Manage the daily operational tasks of the Terrestrial survey department
- Manage the production of final deliverables as per Fugro Standard and Client’s specification.
- Maintain an organised archive of project and relevant Terrestrial survey data.
- Play a proactive role in establishing new business relationships and maintain a close working relationship with clients.
- Provide and allocate technical expertise and professional advice to external clients or prospect clients if and when required.
- Provide technical advice and input and allocate technical expertise to answer or solve survey related questions or problems within the division.
- Participate in contract required technical or project related meetings internally and externally.
- Assisting in RampD for the development of new products and solutions for the Terrestrial survey department
- Conduct site visits in a pretender or postaward stage.
- Provide cover for the Project Manager Laser Scanning during his absence.
- Provide assistance and support in the development of tenders proposals and quotations.
Requirements
Qualifications required
- BSc. or higher in Surveying or Geomatic’s survey related education with sufficient associated experience
Skills experience required to do the job
- Minimum 28 yrs. of practical experience in the field.
- Oil and Gas Terrestrial Surveying experience essential.
- Vast experience with all types of Terrestrial survey hardware and software and surveying is essential
- Experience in carrying out and registering high production laser scanning projects
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Practical experience in Faro laser scanning hardware software systems field procedures download and registration
- Practical experience in full LFM Suite workflows registration processing and Pointcloud generation. 3D Modelling would be advantageous.
- Enthusiastic and motivated
- Comprehensive knowledge of Windows based software Word Excel Power Point and HTML editors EMail internet Outlook and sequential and relational databases.
- Selfmotivated proactive committed and flexible with strong problemsolving skills
- Very high standard of written work technical report writing
- High skill level with operating laser scanners with understanding of file type conversions and coordinating between various CAD platforms
- Good knowledge of surveying techniques geodetic theory an d computer CAD and GIS systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a multinational and multicultural work environment.
- Excellent verbal and written skills both internally and with Client English is essential other dialects may be advantageous.
