Operations Manager for steel Fabrication Co
• Develops and maintains manufacturing operations business plans to include all program requirements labor hours cycle production costs and image.• Provides input to the development of product strategy and research and development of new and emerging products.• Establishes production and quality control standards develops budget and cost controls and obtains data regarding types quantities specifications and delivery dates of products ordered.• Provides guidance to the development of a manufacturing process plan including personnel requirements material needs subcontract requirements facility needs and tooling and equipment needs.• Ensures all established costs quality and delivery commitments are met.• Coordinates manufacturing activities with all other functions of the organization and suppliers to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources machines and equipment.• Reviews production and operating reports and directs the resolution of operational manufacturing and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.• Performs administrative activities associated with the effective management of shop operations including compiling storing and retrieving production data for reports.• Determines responsibilities of assigned organization and staff positions to accomplish business objectives.• Trains and ensures all assigned employees are aware of and comply with company government and customer policies procedures and regulations.• Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel manages and tracks all materials and resources involved in the project execution to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.• Leads and supports the project team all the way until the project is successfully finished and delivered to the client. • Supervise the execution of the project based on the set project plan while ensure adherence to technical budgetary quality and safety requirements. • Prepares project reports for management client or others to keep them or anyone who holds a stake in the completion of the project informed.• Reviews the management process after the project is over in order to identify any steps in the process that can be improved upon for the next project.• Solve any problem or issue that might arise with the client through the execution of the project. • Maintain a safe work environment and promote safe work practices. • Provides effective leadership of his staff to facilitate their growth and increased knowledge of the project including evaluating and managing their performance.• Performs all other duties as may be directed by the General Manager from time to time.
Skills
Technical proficiency in structural steel fabrication and fabrication of storage tanks pressure vessels and pipe spools.
Good leadership skills Excellent communication skills Ability to manage people. Good interpersonal skills. Good decision making skills and problem analysis and solving. Strategic planning and organizing skills.
Good project management skills and target achievement orientation.
Experience in improving productivity and quality and reducing cost
