Dentistry consultant
1.Provides patient care within the parameters of their professional competence as reflected in the scope of their clinical privileges for both inpatients and outpatients.
2.Practices within the framework of clinically relevant and scientifically valid standards guidelines and criteria.
3.Conducts regular ward rounds on his own andor as a team to formulate a multidisciplinary treatment plan.
4.Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures on hisher patients within the range of the specialty.
5.Assessment and referral of appropriate patients under hisher medical care to other appropriate medical facilities as well as accepting referrals of patients with medical problems in hisher field of specialty.
6.Participate in the oncall Rota of the department for patient care and admission.
7.Observes and upholds the patients' rights of security confidentiality and privacy.
8.Supervision of duties of assigned junior staff.
9.Active participation in Continued Medical Education C.M.E. through educational hospital activities. Also through National and International meetings conferences and symposia.
10.Active participation in training program related to his field and organization within the hospital for training of junior medical staff and inservice training for nursing staff and technicians.
11.Continuous update of his knowledge in the medical field as well as continuously upgrading level of skill in hisher field of profession.
12.Participation in committee meetings assigned to himher Quality Improvement Clinical review and Infection Control.
13.To carry out any other assignments as directed by Hospital Administration andor the department head and within the realm of his knowledge skills and abilities.

Qualifications and experience
Completing a postgraduate training program of not less than three years acquiring a certificate of the specialty in the main specialty.
In addition to that completing Guideline of Professional Classification and Registration For Health Practitioners experience in the same specialty so that the postgraduate training period and later experience shall total not less than seven years. The classification shall then be limited to practice in the same specialty.
