Job descriptionMaersk Oil is looking for a Senior Drilling Engineer to provide drilling engineering and completion support in an integrated multidisciplinary team responsible for maturation and execution of workovers redrills new wells and EOR pilots in Al Shaheen field Maersk Oil QatarWe Offer In partnership with Qatar Petroleum Maersk Oil Qatar operates one of the worldâs most complex fields offshore at Al Shaheen. This includes drilling or workover feasibility evaluations equipment availability advise technology solutions initial cost estimate of the selected options. ⢠Work with subsurface integrated team participate and contribute in well and pattern reviews to identify the value adding opportunities like well interventions workovers well equipment change out redrills infill drilling stimulation or abandonment. ⢠Liaise with the Drilling DA to ensure timely preparation of workover drilling and abandonment programs. ⢠Review the execution program from the Drilling DA for workover completion and abandonment activities and ensure the subsurface objectives of the project are addressed.⢠Provide drillingcompletion engineering support during design stage of the EOR pilot field trial. Conduct operational feasibility and provide preliminary cost Who we are looking for⢠B.Sc. Engineering or higher degree.⢠Min. 10 years industry experience in drilling and well completions.⢠This person should have good communication skills a strong analytical approach to solving complex technical problems a proven ability to achieve goals and to identify and resolve problems in a multidisciplinary environment.⢠Solid understanding of fundamentals of physics from a multidiscipline perspective.⢠Strong background and experience in drilling and workover operations including ability to solve complex problems in an innovative and costeffective manner.⢠Ability to manage change to implement new technical solutions combined with project management skills. ⢠Ability to build and leverage relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally.⢠Capable of taking advantage of working in an international and multidisciplinary environment.Last application date 01 November 2014.maerskoil.comMaersk Oil Qatar AS is the leading oil producer offshore Qatar and a recognized pioneer in oil development and production techniques.
