Job Reference 2615DKIEngineering Manager TunnelsLocation DohaSalary 7000 11000 per month negotiableJob Type ContractIndustry EngineeringSeeking an Engineering Manager to join a major player in the construction industry to manage the design works across tunnelling and underground metro works in Qatar. Engineering manager will be tasked with managing and coordinating an in house design team along with a specialist design consultancy who will need supervision. The role will focus on liaising with the clientPMC group for a major metro Tunnel Project in Qatar particularly with delivering designs on time and to meet the required targets. Main areas of focus will be within the tunnelling and underground elements of the project including TBM design Shafts Linings Geotechnical design Metro stations Excavations Foundations The role will be a lead in design works for specific sections and packages. It will be more management of design than hands on design so a strong tunnelling manager can be considered so long as they have experience in managing the design process on large metro networks. They will be mentoring the group in their review and delivery of the project. Will communicate with the client regarding their specifications and ensure all works are in line with the agreed contracts. Must have experience internationally in working with large scale projects in Rail Metro and underground transportation. Experience with a mixture of design activities with a focus on metrounderground rail projects will be key. Ideal candidates will have a civil engineering qualification and a proven track record in delivery of underground structures tunnels and concrete linings from design through to construction. The role is a long term position offering a leadership role within the business and the potential to relocate in future to Middle East Europe or Asia. Will suit a driven and technically sound professional with experience in large consulting engineeringcontracting design businesses. Salary is competitive and an all round package can be negotiated.
