Minimum requirements

EDUCATION

Internationally recognized EMTP course or equivalent not less than 12 months duration.

First Aid Certification

Evidence of field specific CME.

LICENSE

Current national license certification.

Current ACLSAdvanced Cardiac.

Life Support PALSPaediatric Adcanved Life Support and PHTLSPrehospital Trauma Life Support.

EXPERIENCE

2 years current experience post registration certification



AGE Not exceeding the age of 55.



Job Specifications

The paramedic provides basic and advanced emergency and nonemergency paramedical care to the ill and injured. Performs direct illnessinjury assessment and management preparation for transport transfer of required information and patient care.



Leading



Attends emergency and nonemergency medical requests as they arise renders onsite assistance to patients as required.

Performs initial assessment and management of the ill or injured in accordance to specified protocol and procedures

Prepares or assists in the preparations of patients for transport ensuring compliance with protocol and procedure.

Inspects and maintains emergency medical equipment to ensure serviceability and compliance with safety and infection control regulations and standards.

Provide emergency medical coverage on out of hospital missions in country foreign missions and international medical evacuations.



Operational



Maintain fullyinventoried vehicles keeping patient care supplies and equipment responseready clean and in good working order at all times

Maintain proper uniform appearance and demeanor at all times.

Safely and efficiently operate company vehicles and equipment at all times while ensuring a comfortable patient transport and conforming to all applicable safety rules and regulations

Cooperate fully and courteously with other employees supervisors health care public safety and government personnel in the exercise of their duties

Conform to all applicable governmental laws regulations ordinances policies procedures and protocols governing emergency medical services personnel



Team Work



Promote teamwork which enhances good interagency relations respond to all calls or moveups quickly and in a safe and efficient manner in keeping with criteria set out in company policy.

Accurately and legibly complete all paperwork required by the hospital and other agencies pertaining to job performance patient care patient billing and ambulance response.

Perform other duties as requested by management not necessarily relating to emergency medicine and patient care duties.



Quality and safety



Emergency vehicle must be operated in a safe and appropriate manner at all time.

Ensure that the ambulance is maintained in a constant state of readiness to respond quickly to any emergency calls.

Daily checklists must be completed.

The paramedic store must be maintained and kept clean at all times.
